Canyon du Riou is located just above the delightful village of "Moustiers-Sainte-Marie" close to the famous Verdon Canyon on the Alpes de Haute-Provence department of France. This canyon has a beautiful slot section (the two photos below) followed by an aerial section about 3 superb warerfalls (respectively 14, 55 and 38 meters high) with a nice suspended pothole. A rope of 90 meters is necessery to rappel down this final section.
