Pascal Sombardier became enthusiastic about natural arches after reporting to the public the previously unknown and now famous Tour Percée and L'Arche Miracle in the Chartreuse range in 2005. Since then, with the help of some fellow arch hunters (included Rafael Rodon, François Lannes, Pascal Souvion and Patrick Adam), he has reported numerous newly found natural arches (included spectacular Roche Pertuisa) in the french Alps regions of Chartreuse, Vercors and Devoluy near the city of Grenoble. Pascal is an avid mountaineer and editor and author of numerous books in the Montagne-Randnnée collection published by Glenat. He has also served as editor in chief for Montagnes Magazine.
