Covert Arch (Lost Spring Canyon)

Though located in Arches National Park, this arch is best visited from Thompson Springs (40 miles east of Moab) and via a long, rough and confusing 4wd road. Covert Arch is located on the rim of Lost Spring Canyon and eroded at the end of a thin ridge of Entrada Sandstone. The arch has a span of 66 feet (20 meters). Note the author beside the opening for scale. The area of Lost Spring Canyon was recently added to the park included this arch. NABSQNO 12S-629645-4293164
