L'Arche du Faraut

This small but attractive arch is located on the vertiginous ridge of Le Faraut at 2200 meters above sea level in Devoluy massif in Hautes-Alpes department of France. The arch eroded through conglomerate formation has an estimated span of 2 meters. Abseil and rope up is required to access to the arch perched on the side of a towering cliff about 400 meters of height. The arch can be seen on the top of the ridge from several spot along road N85 on Le Drac valley. IGN topographic map Top 25 number 3337 west Devoluy (pleat C3).
