This arch is located on the rim of Causse Mejean close to "Balcon du Vertige", a spectacular overlook which is spoted by red star on the I.G.N topogaphic map n°2640 (west)"Gorges du Tarn" pleat D2. The arch has 6.2 meters span.
How to reach : From main street in "Le Rozier" village, take the road opposite to the parking area toward Tarn bridge. Drive this road 200 meters and turn right at sign "Capeluc". Drive up this zig-zagging road 1km and park at the end of the pavement. Walk up the 4wd road (cemented section) 300 meters to the private house. From there, follow the GR6 grand route (red & white marks painted each 30 meters) along the base of the cliff. After hiking about 15 minutes, the well-marked trail enters into a magnificient amphitheater. Climb and follow up the trail 30 minutes to a major cross path. Turn left at the sign indicating "Corniche de la Jonte" and leave there the GR6. Follow this trail marked red and yellow 8OO meters to the spectacular monoliths called "Vase de Sevre" and "Vase de Chine". Then continue on the red & yellow trail which climb up into a crack (the hard part of the trail). Hike 30 minutes more this trail to "Balcon du Vertige", a vertigious promontory with parapet. From this balcony, proceed the trail less that 30 meters and watch on the right side. The arch is furtively visible below. Once you have spoted the opening, find a primitive path which goes down to a rock spire equiped with a tyrolean cable (3 minutes). From there work your way down slope to the arch.
