ALG-62. Shepherd Fresco Arch is located on Jabbaren (The Giant) locality on the vast Tassili National Park,
wilaya of Illizi, Algeria. The opening has a measured span of 6.2 meters. As the name suggest, there is a beautiful fresco on the side of the opening. The rock art is estimated at 8000 years old. The sheperd people living here in the past were perhaps fascinated by rock opening symbolism. If you like both rock art and arches, you will have a great moment on this place. Guide Mohamed Bilali stands on the opening for scale.
