Quadripod Arch Tower

This unusual natural arch is located on the flat of the west rim of the large Oumrak Canyon on the remote Meddak Region on Tassili National Park in Algeria. The largest opening has a measured height of 3.2 meters. Note the author beside these arches for scale. A close view revelated the hidden third opening. This intriguing rock arch stands on total solitude on the mineral rim of the canyon 1000 meters from a major dryfall of 20 meters with a large Guelta at the base. Estimated time to get there is around 24 hours of hike on way. Do not surprising if you see wild donkey and dromedary on this area. Photos taken late afternoon. GPS coordinate 25°11.664' 9°21.279'
