Causse du Larzac is the largest and the most arid and uninhabited of the four Grands Causses of the Massif Central (Central Range) of France. This Causse is formed by harsh limestone plateau with many standing rock formation areas as the rocks of "Le Caylar" or "Combalou", and the chaotic cliffs of "Pas de l'Escalette" to the south.
