Tafunatu is located on the peak of Capu Tafunatu, in Corse (Corsica island) department of France at 2200 meters above sea level. This is the largest natural arch of France with a span about 35 meters. Visit the arch is challenging. It require backpacking, overnight stay on the mountain hut of Ciottulu di Mori and climbing a five meters chimney and exposed section. The large opening is eroded in the center of the peak Capu Tafunatu and it is a unique piece of rock in red porphyre formation (volcanic rock).
