Marmites Percées de la Valserine (France)
Marmites Percées de la Valserine (Valserine's Potholes) are located in the outstanding protected area of "Perte de la Valserine" near the town of "Belgarde-Sur-Valserine in Ain department of France. The overflow of the Valserine river has formed a myriad of potholes on a large strech of slab in the area. Some of these potholes have a perforated partition creating small natural arches and bridges (1 to 3 meters).
There is also numerous mini arches less that 3 feet (90cm) in various stage of formation like the one below located close to the cataract.
