This arch is located on the side of the orange marked trail in the Chaos de Montpellier-le-vieux. The arch can be observed from Le Douminal, a spectacular view point located at the central of the park. This arch as all opening of the area is eroded through dolomitic limestone formation. This type of rock formation was named by Horace Benedict De-Saussure, a Swiss erudite, in remenbrance of the French geologist D. De-Dolomieu (1750-1801).
