Le Pont du Diable (Haute-Savoie)

Le Pont du Diable (Devil Bridge) [FR 255] is located close of the little village of "Nancy-Sur-Cluses" in Haute-Savoie department of France. It is named but not spoted at "Pont Naturel du Diable" on the IGN topographic map 3430 east "La Clusaz" (pleat A9). How to get there : On motorway A40 Geneva (Switzerland)-Chamonix (France), take exit 18 "Scionzier" (at kilometer post 24.5). Past the toll house, turn right toward "Scionzier". Drive 1.4 kilometer to Scionzier center (Four way traffic signal). Turn left on road D26 toward "Nancy-S-Cluses". Drive 1.6km and turn right on road D119. Drive up this zig-zag road 5.2km to the village of "Nancy-Sur-Cluses" and park. From the village entrance(old wash house), walk down the way between private home to the meadow. Cross the meadow 300 meters staying along the tree line (covered brook) to the waterfall. The arch is located on the left down talus slope. A little rope can be useful if you want to get close. The photo was taken during winter visit. Note the ice wall behind the arch.
