Cerveyrieu Natural Bridge
This bridge is located 40 meters down stream from Spider Web Bridge, just past an 8-meter waterfall. The slot canyon can be descended in rappel (with 2x80 meter of rope) if the water level is low. There is a risk of being swept away by the current if the water level is high. The bridge is located just before the spectacular 70-meter waterfall of Cerveyrieu and a splendid suspended deep pothole of water. This incredible spot provides a rush of adrenaline!
Groin Natural Bridge
Groin Natural bridge is an old pothole bridge located in Groin Canyon near the town of Artemare in Ain County, France (about 1 kilometer distant from Cerveyrieu site). Sometimes the bridge opening can be inundated by water flow at high stage. In this case you have to cross it underwater by a short body immersion.
Obscured Bridge, Groin Canyon
This canyon is a masterpiece of erosion with a fantastic subterranean atmosphere in the narrow part where you have to swim in total darkness. The canyon houses also 4 more pothole bridges, most of them are siphons and it is virtually unphotographable. The author has never seen a better spot in his canyoneering experience despite the oppressive ambience inside it.
